So, you want to be a rockstar.
From bending strings, to beautiful chords, to creating epic lead rock tones, warm clean tones, or just learning the basics of songwriting on your faithful acoustic, the guitar is where I can help you become the rockstar or songwriter you’ve always wanted to be!
With guitar tuition, a lot of the work will come from you in your practice, each guitarist plays and handles their guitar differently, why else do you think there are so many different guitars! I can give you the tools, but you will have to put them into practice, and truly love your instrument, which is why I recommend taking a good amount of time trying out different guitars to find one that chooses you! We will also learn how to read TAB music, which will come in handy for learning songs outside of lessons that you want to do, and get you used to playing along to a full band with the help of the Rockschool syllabus of teaching. Remember, you don’t have to do the exams if you don’t want to, you will still complete the grade!
We will also be learning all about tone and gain, terms such as treble, mid, bass and what they mean. Then we’ll also learn about all the accessories that come with guitars such as amplifiers and guitar pedals. All of these things working in harmony can help make you sound EPIC!
